Artwork credit

What is artwork credit?

Your collection includes credit to use after your session toward finished products, including fine art prints, canvas wall art, framed or ready-to-hang pieces, gift prints, and selected digital images.

Your artwork credit is included in your collection and is used after your gallery is ready. It has no cash value and is not refundable or transferable.

The goal is simple: you leave with photographs you can actually enjoy, not just files you meant to print someday.

In practice

What each credit typically covers.

Artwork credit is used after your session, during your private viewing and ordering appointment. Here is what clients in each collection typically walk away with.

Keepsake — $250 credit

Most clients choose one or two framed prints. A pair of 11x14 lustre prints is a popular choice that uses the full credit. Others prefer a single 12x18 as a statement piece alongside a smaller 8x10 to frame for a bedroom or office.

Signature — $500 credit

Most clients choose a small canvas for the wall and a couple of framed prints. A common combination is an 8x12 canvas with an 11x14 and an 8x10 lustre print. Others prefer a 10x10 canvas paired with a 12x18 and a smaller print.

Heirloom — $900 credit

Most clients anchor their order around a larger statement canvas. A 16x20 canvas is the most popular choice, with the remaining credit going toward a framed print or two for another room. Some clients prefer a single 20x20 canvas, and others split the credit across two smaller canvases and several prints.

Why it matters

These photos are meant to be finished.

I believe the best pet photography should become part of your home, not just another gallery link in your inbox.

That is why every collection includes artwork credit. After your session, you'll choose how you want to enjoy your images, whether that is a canvas, fine art prints, framed pieces, gift prints, or selected digital files.

You will not be left on your own to figure it out. I'll help guide you toward the images and products that make the most sense for your dog, your home, and how you want to remember this season of their life.

After your session

From gallery to finished artwork.

The session is only the first part. Afterward, you are guided carefully through image curation, preview review, artwork decisions, final retouching, and ordering. You are not left alone to figure it out from a gallery link.

01

Safely backed up and carefully curated

After your session, images are safely downloaded and backed up. A full pet photography session can produce hundreds of frames. The first step is curation: the strongest images are selected based on expression, connection, movement, light, and overall feeling. The gallery is carefully curated rather than delivered raw.

02

Your preview gallery: ready in 7 to 10 business days

Each selected image receives a polished preview edit, including colour and exposure adjustments, basic cleanup, leash removal where possible, and removal of small distractions. Your preview gallery is typically ready within 7 to 10 business days after your session.

03

A guided reveal: online or in person

Once your gallery is ready, you can take your time reviewing it through a private online gallery, or we can meet for a more guided reveal appointment. Either way, I will help you narrow your favourites, think through print sizing and crops, compare artwork options, and decide how you want to use your included artwork credit. If you are considering wall art, you can send photos of the rooms or walls where pieces might hang and I can create mockups so you can see how different images and sizes would look in your actual home.

04

Final retouching and finishing

After you have chosen your images, I complete the final retouching and finishing pass. This is more detailed attention than the preview edit: careful cleanup, refined leash removal, and finishing adjustments to prepare each image for print. Final files are uploaded back into your gallery for review before your artwork order is placed.

05

Professionally printed and delivered

All artwork is printed through Technicare, my Edmonton-based professional print partner. Finished pieces are carefully packaged and delivered. Prints typically take around 7 business days for turnaround and shipping. Canvases and larger artwork can take longer. Most finished orders arrive within approximately three to four weeks of the session date, depending on selection timing, product type, and print production.

Digital images

Are digital images available?

Yes. Digital images are available, but this is not a digital-only photography experience.

The purpose of these sessions is to create finished artwork first: pieces you can hold, frame, hang, gift, and keep. Digital images can absolutely be part of your final order, but they are offered as part of a print-and-artwork-focused experience.

That means your collection is designed to help you walk away with something tangible, not just a download link.

Questions

Common questions.

What does an Edmonton pet photography session start at?
Pet photography collections begin at $650. Each collection includes your outdoor session and artwork credit to use after your gallery is ready toward finished prints, wall art, gift prints, or selected digital images.
Are digital images included?
Digital images are available as part of the artwork and ordering experience. Your collection includes artwork credit, and you can choose how to use that credit after your session, whether that is toward prints, wall art, gift pieces, or selected digital files.
Can I include more than one dog in my session?
Yes. More than one dog can be included, but the session plan may change depending on their ages, sizes, personalities, and how they behave together. Some dogs are photographed together right away, while others do best with a mix of individual portraits and group images.
Will I need to buy anything after the session?
Your collection includes artwork credit, so you will already have value to use after your gallery is ready. Many clients choose to add more finished artwork or digital images, but the goal is to help you choose the mix that fits your home, your budget, and how you want to enjoy the photos.
What happens after my photo session?
After your session, your images are safely downloaded, backed up, and carefully reviewed. From hundreds of frames, the strongest images are curated into your preview gallery based on expression, connection, movement, and light. A polished preview gallery is typically ready within 7 to 10 business days. Once ready, you can review it on your own through a private online ShootProof gallery, or we can meet for a guided reveal appointment. Either way, I will help you choose your favourites, think through sizing and artwork options, and decide how to use your included artwork credit. After you select your images, I complete the final retouching and finishing pass. All artwork is printed through Technicare, my Edmonton-based professional print partner, and carefully packaged for delivery. Most finished orders arrive within approximately three to four weeks of the session date, depending on selection timing, product type, and print production.
What happens after I book?
After booking, I'll follow up with next steps and use your Needs Assessment answers to help plan location, timing, pace, and session style. If anything needs more context, we'll sort that out before your session.
What does each artwork credit typically cover?
The Keepsake $250 credit usually covers one or two framed prints. A pair of 11x14 lustre prints is a popular choice that uses the full credit, or a single 12x18 statement piece alongside a smaller 8x10 to frame elsewhere. The Signature $500 credit typically covers a small canvas and a couple of framed prints, such as an 8x12 canvas with an 11x14 and 8x10 lustre print. The Heirloom $900 credit is usually anchored around a larger statement canvas, like a 16x20, with the remaining credit going toward prints for another room. Some clients prefer a single 20x20 canvas, and others split the credit across two smaller canvases and several prints.
